My parents came to Chamblee GA in 1960 with nothing and 2 little girls in tow. Ludie greeted us with open arms to McElory Memorial Church and into her life for the past 57 years. I cannot even begin to tell you of the impact of this amazing woman's life on our family. It was immeasurable. Her belief in God and the potential goodness in every man was forever exemplified in her loving, giving and trusting nature. The encouragement and hope she gave our family helped us through many difficult times....And of course there was all the wonderful memories we shared at the beach(Jekyll Island) The Braves Games and the Lake... so much love and laughter. We will forever be grateful for the day we met the Webb family and all the great memories we shared. "Ludie and Pete will forever be in our hearts" Love And Miss You, Lenn The Horton Family

Miss Ludie was one of my surrogate grandmothers growing up. I remember being in Kindergarten and her teaching my Sunday School at McElroy Memorial ARP Church. She and Mr. Pete were fixtures at the annual multi-family vacations at Jekyll Island. My children also had the privilege of benefiting from her gentle kindness. They clamored to her before church services at Doraville ARP Church to see what beautiful flower clipping she had on her lapel. What a wonderful, wonderful person who had a tremendous impact on my life.

Ludie led an exemplary Christian life. As a member of her church, I can attest to the devotion of her life. We will miss her but have fond memories of our time in her presence.
