

Marlene Schultz Lockwood of Atlanta, GA passed away on Monday, August 8 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was 73. A beloved mother and grandmother, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Michael G. Regas II of Atlanta and their children, Joseph Patton Regas and Mary Isabelle Regas. Marlene was employed by United States Public Health Service for over 45 years. At the time of her retirement, she was the Director of the Division of Community Health Services, Region IV. Throughout her successful career, she held many leadership positions and is remembered by her colleagues as a woman who truly made a difference in their lives and their careers. She will be remembered by both family and friends for her love and kindness to all people and memorable sense of style. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Wednesday, August 24 at H.M. Patterson & Son-Oglethorpe Hill Chapel in Brookhaven. The family will receive visitors at 10:30 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. and a reception immediately after. In lieu of flowers, and in recognition of her lost battle, donations in her honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Georgia.
