Marlene Moore Voight

Marlene Moore Voight has peacefully passed away following an illness. She grew up in Houston, Texas and held degrees – Bachelor's of Science in Applied Mathematics and Masters of Science in Math Education. She was a longtime member of the DAR and held several offices while with them. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking, arts and crafts, as well her cats. They included many feral ones who she either adopted or found loving homes for.

Marlene was preceded in death by her daughters’ father. She, also, was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and brother, a daughter, a niece and nephew, as well as many other family members.

Marlene is survived by two daughters, and widow of her brother.

She lived a long and fruitful life and will be missed greatly by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to lifelineanimal.org to help the animals she cared for and loved so much.

The family of Marlene Voight wish to extend our sincere thanks to all the healthcare personnel (doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, x-ray technicians and all the others) who helped and tended to her while she was at Northside Hospital for their excellent care. And thanks to H.M. Patterson & Son-Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, Funeral Directors, for their services.
