Martha Ann Williamson Dodd

Martha Ann Williamson Dodd, 74, died peacefully after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Marcellus Hallman Dodd; daughter: Ann Dodd Schuh; son in law: William Anton Schuh; grandchildren: William Hallman Schuh and Vivian Frances Schuh. She was the daughter of the late Fred Lamar Williamson and Frances Aderhold Williamson. Mrs. Dodd was born in Carrollton, GA and raised in Dalton, GA. Following her graduation from Agnes Scott College, she became a Trust Investment Officer with The Citizens and Southern National Bank, pursuing the banking career path of her late father. She was an active member of the Habersham Garden Club and Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. Mrs. Dodd was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed traveling around the world with her family and friends. Before her illness, she was very active in the fitness community at Cherokee Town and Country Club. Mrs. Dodd’s family would like to extend a sincere thanks to all the nurses on the fourth floor at Lenbrook Healthcare for their years of wonderful care during Mrs. Dodd’s stay. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 28th at 3 O’clock at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church with a reception to follow in the Hospitality Suite. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the new youth building at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church or The American Parkinson’s Disease Association (Georgia Chapter).
