

Mary Ann Trapani of Atlanta, Georgia died peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Augusta, Georgia on October 12, 1929, the daughter of Richard and Mary Lee Deer. She met her future husband, Reid Trapani, while working as a bookkeeper at Sears Roebuck in Augusta. The two were married in July of 1949 and were inseparable until Reid’s death sixty years later in November, 2009. Mary Ann is survived by her three sons Craig Trapani and his wife Diane and their children Bryan, Jason, Laura and son-in-law Bret Ayres; Mike Trapani and his wife Mary Jane and their children Jennifer, Michael and daughter-in-law Lauren and Mary; David Trapani and his wife Katie and their children Taylor and Reid. Mary Ann was also blessed to have been survived by five great grandchildren and more than twenty nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann and Reid settled in Atlanta, Georgia where they raised their three sons and owned and managed Keystone Press, a commercial printing firm for over forty years. When not at Keystone, Mary Ann loved volunteering at Marist School from which her sons all graduated. She enjoyed her days in the athletic concession stands, working Holiday Traditions Festival, and assisting with the Marist Fashion Show. A devout and faithful Catholic, she was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody. A funeral mass will be held there Monday, January 25 at 10:30 am. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm at H.M. Patterson-Son, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road followed by a Rosary at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Mary Ann’s name to Marist School or Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
