Mike was born on February 19, 1976 in Atlanta to Tony and Diane Jabaley. He graduated from St. Pius X Catholic High School and attended the University of Georgia, where he quickly became the ultimate Georgia Bulldogs Football fan.
After a stint in the business world, Mike started a company, Highlight Reels, Inc., where he was able to combine his love of football with one of his greatest gifts: coaching young boys in their pursuit of playing college ball. Mike was pivotal in the lives of countless young men, preparing them for college football careers by reviewing game films, helping them refine their skills, and preparing them for life. He facilitated a number of scholarships for young men at multiple universities and coached players who went on to win national championships and play in the NFL. In his later years he enjoyed working in the underwriting department at State Farm Insurance, a company that has been a part of his family for decades.
Above all, Mike was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. From tending to a friend in need, to coaching little league football to teaching middle school history to his nieces and nephews, his sharp mind and quick wit were both winning and inspiring. He will be remembered for his love of friends, family, football, and his beloved dog, Baron. His love of truth and justice left an impression on all who knew him. His impact on those around him was without limit and will last an eternity.
Mike is survived by his parents, Tony and Diane Jabaley, his siblings Dana (Chip) Brenner, Andy (Allison) Jabaley, Julie (Rymon) Wilborn, and 17 nieces and nephews who adored him.
A funeral Mass will be held on September 4, 2026, at 2:15 p.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Atlanta. Visitation will be held immediately before the Mass from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption. A reception will follow the Mass at the same location. A private interment will follow at a later date.
