Michael Ahmad Jabari

July 11, 1958 – June 7, 2026
Obituary of Michael Ahmad Jabari
IN THE CARE OF

H.M. Patterson & Son-Oglethorpe Hill Chapel

My beloved husband, Michael Ahmad Jabari, age 67, a resident of Brookhaven, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Michael was born in Atlanta to Otis Roger Jett and Bettye Louise Jett on July 11, 1958. He attended Lynnwood Park Elementary School, Kittredge Elementary School for high achievers, and Cross Keys High School. Michael was accepted to Dekalb College on an “early admissions” program, where he was a stellar student. Michael joined the Army in 1980 and held the title of Intelligence Analyst.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland in 1986 while serving in the Army. He received many citations, medals, and badges, including the Army Service Ribbon, Army Lapel Button, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, and the Good Conduct Medal. Michael was immensely proud of his military service, and he earned the respect of his superior officers as well as his peers.

Following his discharge from the Army, Michael held positions at C&S Bank, the State of Georgia, and State Farm Insurance. While he enjoyed these opportunities, Michael’s true passion was real estate sales and investing. He became a licensed real estate broker and established his company, Jabari Enterprises, LLC, in 2012.

Michael was an avid reader; he was particularly interested in reading books about building personal wealth. He eagerly shared information about investing with anyone willing to listen. He wanted everyone to understand the importance of investing in the stock market early in life “to build wealth over time.”

He was interested in politics as well. A typical Sunday morning for Michael included viewing his favorite political programs.

Michael is survived by his wife, Carolyn Jabari; his sons, Miko Jett, Corey Jett, and Marcus Jett; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; his beloved aunt, Laura Mae Pruitt; and a host of loving cousins and friends.

The family of Michael Ahmad Jabari extends its heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and hospice representatives at Emory University Hospital on Clifton Road for the exceptional care, compassion, and support they provided to Michael throughout his hospital stay.
