Nancy Louise Poag, 75, Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. Nancy Louise Poag was born in Evansville, Indiana, to Ruth and Marshall Poag on April 27, 1950. She graduated from Cross Keys High School in Brookhaven, Georgia.
She loved the drill team for her school, and her mother Ruth worked as the cafeteria dietician for Dekalb County. Later, Nancy attended Dekalb Community College, where she studied nursing. She enjoyed writing, and early in her life she played piano. She loved her friends, music, and even toured briefly with the rock band Procol Harum in the early 1970s.
She loved her family, her parents. She loved her sisters who had passed on many years ago, Marilyn Massey and Terri Lynne Poag. She loved her cousins and aunts and uncles.
She is survived by David Marshall Railey (son), Ella Mae Railey Phillips (granddaughter), Susan Massey (niece), Tara Massey (niece), and Scott Massey (nephew).
