

Ms. Neville Stoneham Pearson, 66, died Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Piedmont Hospital after a long illness. Born February 7, 1945 in Danville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John Newton Stoneham and Evelyn Mitchell Stoneham. She attended local Danville schools until she moved to Atlanta in 1960 and graduated from Northside High School in 1963. She was a graduate of William and Mary College, where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. Neville worked for Delta Airlines and was a teacher at Christ the King in Atlanta. She was a member of the Junior League of Atlanta, where she was a proud member of the Knit Wits, the DeAffodils, the Mad Hatters, and a volunteer for the Shepherd Spinal Center, where she was Chairman for the Annual Auction and Golf Outing. Neville was an avid reader and enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She was also an outstanding cook. Neville will forever be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her warm heart, and her generous, philanthropic spirit.
She is survived by her two sons, John (Margi) Pearson of Jackson, Wyoming and Bryant (Emily) Pearson of Charleston, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Jean and Brooks Pearson of Jackson, Wyoming and Lila Brooks Pearson of Charleston, South Carolina; sister, Evelyn (Jim) Uhles of Severna Park, Maryland; niece, Neville (Craig) Uhles-Cola of Washington, D.C.; nephew, Jim Uhles of Baltimore, Maryland; and many dear friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at H.M. Patterson and Sons – Spring Hill Chapel, 1020 Spring Street, NW, Atlanta, GA 30309. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery, 400 Robertson Lane, Danville, Virginia 24540 on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 3:00 p.m.
