

Patrick O. Laughlin passed away peacefully of natural causes on June 30, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his wife, Heli, and son, Martin. Patrick cherished his role as a husband and father and loved traveling extensively with his family, sharing with his son the diverse cultures, places, and experiences of the world.
Patrick was born in Orlando, Florida, to Joan and Roy Laughlin and was the third of seven siblings. He was very adventurous and loved swimming and all kinds of outdoor activities.
He attended Notre Dame, where he studied Architecture, and lived in Chicago and then Florida before moving to Atlanta in 1983. Although he lived in Atlanta, he loved to attend at least one Notre Dame football game every season. He worked as a commercial realtor until his death.
He met the love of his life, Heli, in 2003, they started a family in 2004. Their son, Martin, completed their family and was his pride and joy.
Patrick is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Joan, and his brother, Robert James Laughlin. He is survived by his wife, Heli Daniel; son, Martin Connor; mother-in-law, Vaike Daniel; and brother-in-law, Toomas Daniel.
His siblings are Roy Laughlin, Ann Powell, Dennis (Mary) Laughlin, Mary (Allen) King, and Joanie (Ron) Jeannette. Patrick was also a very proud uncle to Alex Powell, Joan (Jason) Powell Parrot, Adam (Pamy) Powell, Cari (Eric) Powell Cappabianca, Allen (Jessica) King, Jr., Maria (Rich) King Lieber, Patrick Jeannette, Laura Laughlin, and Nathan Laughlin, along with 10 great-nieces and nephews. Patrick also leaves behind many cousins and longtime friends who will miss him dearly.
