So sorry to learn of the death of your mother, Guerry. I have many fond memories of her when Dana and I were in Iris Garden Club with her. I remember her as a very gracious, lovely and welcoming Lady(with a capital 'L'). May you be comforted by her love for you.Peace be with you, and your family,

I will never forget how good your mother and father were to me.  When I began teaching at Westminster, I would come back to the house on Wesley Way and fall asleep on the sofa while B watched television.  He was such a comforting presence. The beauty that your mother created around herself was a delight-the impatiens on the slope behind the Wesley Way home, the charm of her apartment at Canterbury Court, and, best of all to me as a child, the Persian and Maltese cats with their brilliant eyes.  I still have the Tchaikovsky CD which Rae sent my mother the Christmas that Mother died.  That Christmas present, to me, symbolizes your mother's concern and care for my mother.  Thinking of you all and remembering, with tears, the pride Rae took in her children and her children's children's accomplishments.  Rebecca

The memory of cousin Rae's intelligence, wisdom, and good spirits will remain with me forever. I have fond memories spanning my entire life (now 75 years) of visits to her warm, welcoming home. So sorry to hear about cousin Rae.  But she did live a full and exciting life.  She and mother (Martha Shields McLendon) had lots of happy memories.  I had hoped we could get back to see her again.  But she and mother stayed so busy.  We would not have known had Aunt Belle's dear friend, Jean Miller not called me today.

I am so sorry to learn that "Gaga" is gone.  As the honorary fourth Redmond child, she was like another grandmother to me.  I remember her warm smile and easy-going personality.  The chaos of swarms of Redmond and Sessions grandchildren never seemed to phase her.  Other than a brief visit a year or two ago, I haven't seen her in many years, but will always remember her fondly.  Rest in peace Gaga.

Aunt Rae was so incredibly kind to my mother and my entire family. She was a wonderful lady.
