Dear Jen Sui,
I, Dr. Parvana Ratan Patel is the cousin sister of Rayomand Sui. We met last in Jan 2015 in Mumbai when his mother expired. He was a loving and gentle person with a pleasant personality.
I am in deep shock to learn about his sudden death on Dec 22, 2018 i.e. almost 2 1/2  years ago. Request you to inform us as to what happened to him which lead to his untimely death.

We don’t know each other. Rayomand was a school friend. Have known him since a long time but we drifted away after school in 1991. Haven’t met since. We would take the same bus to school everyday. 

Have very fond memories of him. Am really sorry for the loss. Also I’m sad that we got to know of this almost 2 years after his passing. 

I hope he’s in a happy place wherever he is. All good wishes to you And the family.

I first spoke to Rayo around 10 years ago. He was trying to help a customer, but had little experience with the product at that point. While Rayo worked tirelessly to help, it became apparent that they had been lumped with a poorly thought out and executed solution. Working with him through this, it also became clear that Rayo was a special person: never did he let the slew of obstacles and challenges deter him or frustrate him. I honestly don't think anyone else would have handled the situation so gracefully and professionally. 

Since that time, I was fortunate to get to know Rayo and spend some time with him, in and after meetings and conferences. I always made sure to make time to meet up as he was such a positive, generous, thoughtful and lovely person.

The last time I met up with him we both had something on that evening - so we agreed that we'd make arrangements that we'd have dinner next time we were in the same city. That I'll miss seeing him again is crushing: I can't imagine the pain that the people close to him feel because of all the moments they'll now miss. I just hope that the pain is replaced by the joy of their great memories soon.

Some years ago Raymond and I worked together writing a book for work.  From the first day of many to come we became friends, taking regularly, sharing the common themes that ran through our lives, and just generally enjoying each others company.  Both having family in NZ helped loads, we talked much about this.

Whenever we talked for work we always found time to laugh and joke too, time flew by so quickly .  Meeting at events around the word was just as much fun,  so good to see him and talk of new news since we last met up.  Raymond was a true friend to me and many others at IBM, and will be very much missed by all.

Going to miss you mate.

I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Ray from New Zealand days and it was truly a pleasure to know Ray & for all the chats we had on New Zealand, move to Atlanta and work. Ray was an amazing friend, a great person to be with & a person who cared for others dearly. Thoughts and prayers with you & family. Ray, rest in peace my friend and we will miss you a lot. 

I am truly sorry for your loss.  While I only knew Ray professionally, he was always pleasant, upbeat and courteous, both to his peers and most importantly his customers.  He was a great man and seemed to put others before himself.  He will be greatly missed by his fellow IBMers, but his mark on those he worked with most closely will endure as we strive to be more like him.  Rest in peace.

I was fortunate to work with Ray for many  years  - he always worked so effectively on the many efforts he coordinated - often under tight timeframes.  But the biggest impression is his thoughtfulness, and the special person he was for taking the time to get to know us individually, work as a team, and follow through to make outcomes better.   I am so sorry for your loss.  We will miss Ray greatly. 


Ray was a great friend and colleague at IBM and I still cannot believe he passed away. I remember him always being cheerful, happy and positive. The last time we met was at a conference in Raleigh that he helped to organize and he entertained the customers and partners - as always he was amazing and got the whole conference working smoothly. We met this year at various places around the country and had dinner together. I know Ray from a long time back when we used to chat about work and life while he was still working from New Zealand/Australia. 
I will miss Ray a lot and I am very sorry for your loss.
