

Richard Allen “Rick” Brumley, age 69, of Alpharetta passed away on May 8, 2015. Rick was born on March 22, 1946 in Dayton, OH, to the late Earl and Mary Brumley. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He had a successful career in sales, working in several states including OH, FL and GA. Once he retired, his goals were to read books and volunteer. He became an avid reader and donated his time for Emergency Assistance at The Suthers Center. Faithful to his church he also became one of the head ushers. Rick loved fishing, NASCAR, and sports, through which he met many friends along the way. His favorite fishing buddy was Rhett, his black lab. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Ruth Anne Tatum Brumley; children, Angela (David) Crosier, Jeffrey Brumley, Jennifer Tatum and her fiancé Todd Fredette; 6 grandchildren; sister, Barbara (Tom) Hanshaw and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at H.M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill on Tuesday from 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at St. Martin- in –the- Fields Episcopal Church in Brookhaven. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Atlanta.
