Robert Harlan Foster

Robert Harlan Foster, age 70, passed away in his home, March 11, 2016. Born on April 15, 1945, Robert grew up in Wilmington, DE and graduated. from Tower Hill School in 1963. Following high school he attended Bucknell University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in 1967. He served in the Air Force for the next two years, and in 1969, Robert moved to Atlanta to attend Emory University where he received his Masters in Business Administration. While at Emory, he also met the love of his life, Susan Schagane, whom he married in 1971. Upon graduation Robert began his accounting career at Touche and Ross. He would stay until 1974, when he began working at Suntrust Bank, where he would remain the next 30 years, retiring in 2004.

An avid gardner, Robert also spent much of his free time loving his many dogs and watching sports of all kind, particularly those of his daughters and grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his wife, daughters; Jennifer Foster King, Katherine Foster Sagstuen, Margaret Allison Foster, and Abigail Deane Foster, and six loving grandchildren.

A wake will be held in Robert's honor on Friday, March 19 from 6 until 8 o'clock in the evening at H. M. Patterson & Son, Spring Hill. A catholic mass for the public will be held at Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Saturday, March 20 at 11 o'clock in the morning.
