Robert Francis Oliver

Robert (Bob) Francis Oliver, age 90, of Johns Creek, GA, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025. He is survived by his beloved children and their loving families: son Robert Oliver and Douglas Westhoven of Atlanta, GA; daughter Jeannette and Leif Horgen of Buford, GA; daughter Laura and Perry Viles of Sugar Hill, GA; and daughter Sue Millican of Ansonia, CT.

Bob had the joy of watching eight wonderful grandchildren grow up, and he was blessed with nine amazing great-grandchildren. He also had the privilege of being here for his precious great-great-granddaughter. Beyond his large and loving family, Bob had many friends and extended relatives who will miss him dearly.

A man of integrity, kindness, and generosity, Bob left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Those who knew him will always remember his great sense of humor, sunny outlook on life, and, most of all, his unforgettable laugh. Bob's loving nature and joyful spirit made him a truly remarkable father, and his legacy lives on through the love he shared, the life lessons he imparted, and the cherished memories he leaves behind.

We take comfort in knowing that Bob’s work on earth is done. He will forever be loved and missed by all of us. As we bid him farewell, we say: "Go rest high on that mountain, Daddy."

A visitation for Robert will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at H.M. Patterson & Son-Oglethorpe Hill, 4550 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30319. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, 48 M.L.K. Jr Dr S.W., Atlanta, GA 30303. Interment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park, 5051 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., Peachtree Corners, GA 30092. A repass gathering will be held at Laura's house following the burial for all who wish to attend.
