Ruth Green Kemlein
March 7, 1926 – November 28, 2018
Ruth G. Kemlein, 92, of Atlanta, passed away on November 28, 2018 in Sandy Springs, GA.
Ruth was born in Atlanta to Charles and Lila Cheshire Green on March 7, 1926. She went to school at Decatur Girls High. She married Ned H. Kemlein on October 13, 1952 at Grace United Methodist Church. She attended Business School and worked as a an executive assistant for Cotton Producers in her early life before becoming a full-time homemaker. She was a longtime member of the Grace United Methodist Church and various neighborhood groups. She also worked as a volunteer at Emory University Hospital.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Ned H. Kemlein, her sisters Florence Shepard, Annette Little and Fay Smith, and her brothers Charles Green, Rapley Green and Clarence Green.
Ruth is survived by her children Ron Beavers (Nancy), Peggy K. Morehouse (Neal Kaplan) and Chris H. Kemlein (Sheila), her brother Grady Green and sister Stella Wade, and her grandchildren Brandy Dunaway (Brannon), Casey Beavers, Brandt Morehouse (Lily), Christopher Morehouse (Lindsay), Rachel Kemlein and Zachary Kemlein and great grandchild Kaemon Dunaway
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018 at H.M. Patterson Oglethorpe Hill Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018 at H.M. Patterson Oglethorpe Hill Chapel with Dr. Janice Hume, family friend, officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery. Arrangements are by H.M Patterson.
Memorials may be given to Belmont Village Emergency Staff Fund. The family of Ruth wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Belmont Village, Hospice, family and friends for their care and warm support.

Ruth was a beautiful day and gracious woman. I only met her a few times. I do know she raised a son, who is a most good and Christan man. The world needs more Ron Beavers. Love
