

SARAH E. GOODWIN 66 (Atlanta, GA), formerly of Lexington, Kentucky died on May 13, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, John Lisco, two children, Conrad and Claire, a sister, Deedie Goodwin Lutz (Dan), niece Stacy Lutz Davidson (Don), great-niece Lahndyr Davidson, and relatives on the Lisco side of the family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodger and Sue Goodwin (Kentucky Ornamental Iron). Sarah moved with her parents to Lexington in 1960 and graduated from Henry Clay High School. She attended both Western Kentucky University and Eastern Kentucky University earning a degree in Political Science. She also received a Journalism degree from Florida A&M University. She worked for Emory University in Atlanta as the Assistant Vice President for Communications and Director of Media Relations for the Health Sciences and did freelance work under her own company—Goodwin Communications. She was a very creative woman who enjoyed writing poetry, photography, and painting. There will be a Memorial Service held on May 22, 2016 at the H.M. Patterson & Son-Oglethorpe Hill Chapel in Atlanta.
