Terry Joseph Orme

Dr. Terry Joseph Orme, 66, treasured husband of Cele Covatta, died June 11, 2012, with his family by his side at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Born on August 9, 1945 in Logan, Utah, he was the oldest of four children born to H.J. and Beth Terry Orme. He grew up in St. Anthony, Idaho where he played football, rode in the Rodeo, and worked in the family hardware business. Terry completed his studies with a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from Utah State University in 1974. He went on to serve in the United States Army Medical Service Corps until 1979, at which time he settled in Atlanta, Georgia. Terry will be remembered for his many professional accomplishments in Atlanta and most importantly for the many lives that he touched through his years as a psychotherapist specializing in the management of chronic pain. He could tell stories like no other, and every tale was told with the purpose of making people around him feel better, whether through laughter, or just to soothe someone who was weary. His love of people, spilled over into his love of animals, and horses were his favorite. He spent countless hours at his North Georgia farm enjoying the outdoors and being with his family and friends. He was a loving and generous Brother, Father, Uncle, and Grandfather to his large extended family, all of whom will miss him terribly.
