

Troy Enloe Wheeler, Sr., a cherished soul revered as The Greatest Dad on planet Earth, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on March 12, 1934, in Canton, GA, Troy was a man of profound faith and integrity, embodying the love and grace of The LORD Thy God, Jesus Christ The Messiah and The Holy Spirit he devotedly served.
Troy's life was marked by his unwavering kindness and his role as a steadfast provider and friend. His gentle spirit and the wisdom of his few, yet impactful words, left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. A lover of nature's grandeur, he found solace in the rhythmic waves of the ocean, the serene beauty of the mountains, and the simple joys of gardening.
An avid runner, Troy's discipline and passion for the sport mirrored the way he lived his life—focused, determined, and with a quiet strength. His legacy is one of love, a testament to the life of a simple man who was rich in the things that mattered most.
Troy's departure from this world leaves behind a great example of how to be forgiven and how to forgive others. His spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were fortunate enough to be touched by his remarkable presence. Troy Enloe Wheeler, Sr. will be profoundly missed, but his memory will forever be a beacon of light to all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Loucille Wheeler; brothers, Gary Wheeler and Darrell Wheeler; and sister, Kathleen Wheeler.
Troy is survived by his sons, Troy Enloe Wheeler, Jr. (Cheryl) and Kenneth Harrison Wheeler (LaDonna); daughter, Mary Ruth Wheeler; and grandchildren, Morgan, Ashley, Harrison, Aldo, Joshua, Kimberly and Jasmine.
The family will greet friends on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at H.M. Patterson & Son – Oglethorpe Hill. A service will be held in the chapel at 1:00 pm, with Bishop Henry Goldmon and Pastor Mary Ruth Wheeler officiating. A reception will follow immediately after the service. Burial, with military honors, will take place at Arlington Memorial Park.
