
Vivian Pierce Hall of Dunwoody passed away on June 19, 2012 at Hospice Atlanta. She was born on February 12, 1925 in Chamblee, Georgia. Vivian is preceded in death by her husband John H. Hall, parents Paul and Bertie Lou Pierce, and brothers P. E. Pierce, Jr. and James Harrison Pierce. She leaves behind son Richard (Vickie) Hall, and daughters Dr. Sharon Hall and Cathy (Tim) Couch. Her grandchildren include Lauren Couch of Fort Lauderdale, FL., 1st Lt. Taylor Couch (USMC) of Pensacola, FL, Emily Couch of John’s Creek, GA, and Caroline Hall of Atlanta, GA. Vivian was a native of Atlanta and a long-time resident of Chamblee. Graduated from Chamblee High School and attended Mercer University in Macon. She had careers in the VA Hospital in Brookhaven and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in financial services. She also worked as a real estate broker for Harry Norman Realtors and finally as Secretary-Treasurer of American Railroad Industries, Inc. Always known for her strength, love of family and southern cooking, Vivian will be greatly missed by her family, nieces, nephews and many good friends. She has fought the good fight and now it is time to rest. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening at Patterson’s Funeral Home in Oglethorpe Hill 6-8 pm. A graveside service will be held at Arlington Memorial Cemetery at 10 AM on Thursday, June 21.
