

Warren Palmer Sewell, Jr. passed away suddenly on December 16 at his home. He was the son of Warren Palmer Sewell and Ava Lee Fowler Sewell, born in Atlanta, Georgia on April 26, 1929.He graduated from Boy’s High and the University of Georgia with a degree in Marketing. After graduation he worked in the family clothing business. He served his country in the reserves and as a Captain in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1956. After an honorable discharge, he returned to the family apparel business in Bremen, Georgia. He worked in every part of the business, becoming the CEO. He was named “Manufacturer of the Year” in 1999 by the International Association of Clothing Designers and Executives. Even after his retirement, his heart stayed with the employees in the business. One of his greatest assets was his ability to work and communicate with employees and customers. He was a member of the Northside United Methodist Church, The Cherokee Town and Country Club, SAE Fraternity, The American Legion, The Buckhead Lions Club and Men’s Investment Unlimited. He was a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Mary, his daughters Kay Lore (Steve) and Valee Penn (Dave), and grandsons Stephen and William Lore. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 20th and 11:00 O’clock at Northside United Methodist Church. The family will receive visitors 1 hour prior to the service.
