

William J. Daley, age 87 of Brookhaven, Ga passed away on May 3, 2015. Bill was born May 10, 1927 in Oak Park, IL. Upon graduating from Oak Park River Forest Township High School, he served in the Army of The United States during WWII. He was in the ASTP program and 787th MP Division while stationed in Paris. He received his electrical engineering degree from The University of Illinois in 1949. Bill married his lovely wife Mildred in 1952, she predeceased him in 1997. He was a successful engineer in the industrial scale business with Toledo Sales. His next career move was to open his own industrial weighing system company. Daley Associates, whose engineered products designs and ideas were used around the world. Bill Daley served his community well by getting involved in local political and community matters. In the community of Brookhaven as president of Ashford Park homeowners association he spearheaded the successful effort to get the much used underpass at Redding Rd built. Bill is survived by his six children, Bill (Kaye) Daley, Patty (Bob) Hamilton, Thomas Daley, Kathleen (Tom) Vallely, Patrick Daley and Michelle (Michael) Knigge; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at H. M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill .The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday at Our Lady of The Assumption Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs.
