

Winifred K. Zink, 95, passed away peacefully at home in Atlanta, Georgia on September 10, 2016. Winnie was born June 30, 1921 in Springfield, MA where she graduated from Classical High School, Class of ’39; she also attended Westbrook College, Portland, MA and graduated from Eastman School of Dental Hygiene, Rochester, NY. Her family belonged to the South Congregational Church in Springfield.
Winifred is survived by a niece, Marian Kling Halsey of New Haven, CT and by five grandnieces and nephews and their children. She was predeceased by her devoted son John Zink, beloved brother Maurice Kling and his wife Helen, nephew Allan Kling and parents Winifred and Herman Kling.
Winnie lived 63 years in Atlanta where she enjoyed lifelong friendships and was active in the Dental Hygienists’ Society and Skyland United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 18, 2016 at H.M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel at 1:00pm with a Celebration of Life following at 2:00pm. Winifred K. Zink will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Park following the Celebration of Life. Memorial contributions may be made to Skyland Methodist Church, Atlanta or to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
