

Alan Lee Mullinax, 63, of Rainbow City, Alabama passed from this life to his eternal home early Saturday, March 26th, 2022. He was surrounded by love at his Riddles Bend residence with his beloved wife beside him, his little pup curled at his feet, and family praying over him.
Alan was born on June 25th, 1958 in Gadsden, Alabama to the late Emory and Bonnie Mullinax. He attended Southside High School and graduated a star basketball player in 1976.
In October of 2002 on the 28th, Alan married the love of his life Lisa Ashburn. Their beautiful love story included an adventurous western ranch trip in Montana, numerous bluegrass festivals, and many memorable camping weekends with very special friends. His greatest spare time passions were hunting those great Alabama white tail and cheering on his Alabama football team. Alan was such a loving husband and father and a loyal friend known for his tender loving kind heart.
He was a member of Riddles Bend Baptist Church, and a long-time employee of Allied Crawford Steel.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Bonnie Mullinax; brother, Mike Mullinax; Matthew Mullinax, Amanda Jaggers and father-in-law, James Ashburn Sr.
Alan leaves behind his wife, Lisa, and daughter, Taylor Weaver. He is survived by his brother, Mark Mullinax (Kim Vandevander) and sister, Melanie Pylant. He will be missed dearly by his special Siblings Marsalla Ashburn, John and Lynn Morton, James Ashburn Jr., and Shanna Watts, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who thought the world of him.
The memorial service will be this Saturday, April 2nd, at Riddles Bend Baptist Church, with Pastor Rodney Prickett officiating; cremation services provided by Morgan Funeral Home.
Honorary Pallbearers are John Morton, Jim Ashburn, Gary DeJean, Steve Thomas, Russ Williams, Rick Hill, and Scott Baker.
The family will receive visitors at 12:00 p.m., followed by his Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. A luncheon to follow in the fellowship hall created by the Riddles Bend community and served by the loving women of the church.

In lieu of sprays, live plants and flowers will be warmly received as there will be no graveside service.
