Funeral Service will be at Life Church in Rainbow City Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 6p.m. Visitation will be from 4 until 6p.m. at the church prior to the service.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents Horace and Maciel Crow and his brother Horace Crowe Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Connie Crowe, his daughters, Tracy Crowe, Teresa (Chad) Crowe Owens, grandchildren, Logan (Shelby) Owens, and Laney Owens, brothers James (Rachel) Crowe, Paul David (Rosemary) Crowe, sisters, Joyce (Travis) Jones, Carolyn Perkins, Eve-lyn (Steve) Avery, B.J. (Darrell) Hanson, and many nieces and nephews.
Eugene was a member of Legacy Church, which he helped his daughter and son-in-law plant four years ago. He served at Legacy Church on the Advisory Committee and was the Men's Director. He served as a deacon for the past 40 years and was actively involved in Men's Ministry. Throughout his years of serving the church he was a Sunday School teacher, custodian, and groundskeepers, a Royal Ranger Leader, he loved to sing in the choir, he also sang on the worship team, he helped plant Life Church RBC in 1997 and he had been on many Missions' trips building churches in other countries. He was always willing to serve. Eugene loved Jesus and the church with a passion that was contagious.
He retired from Goodyear after 25 years and drove a school bus in Etowah County for 10 years finding something he truly enjoyed. Mr. Eugene absolutely loved the kids on Buses 100 & 65.
Eugene loved going to the mountains, being on the river, and spending time at the beach. Over the years he had horses, raised hunting dogs and chickens, sold eggs and his latest hobby was beekeep-ing & honey. Eugene loved Alabama football, enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a friend to many and a stranger to none.
