Marie Day of Wellington, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the age of 80. Ms. Day was born on November 12, 1937. She was a graduate of Alexandria High School and retired from Anniston Army Depot. She is survived by one sister, Betty Day Floyd (Gary) of Jacksonville, AL; two brothers, Marion Day and Sidney Leon Day (Jean), all of Wellington and sister in law, Gilda Day Williamson of Glencoe, Alabama and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Theodore “Ted” Day and Ruby Kuykendall day; brother, James E. Day and sister in law, Bonnie R Day all of Wellington.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In honor of her love for cats, donation may be made in her memory to the Humane Society of Etowah County, 4200 Brooke Ave, Gadsden, AL 35904.
Cremations services were provided by Morgan Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
