Andy Floyd Nix

A Chapel visitation will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel, on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am with the Military honors graveside service, officiated by Pastor Wayne White, following the visitation at Rainbow Memorial Gardens at 11:00 am.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Janice Nix; parents, Floyd & Lennie Nix; siblings, Alvin Nix, Garey Nix, and Kay Rattray; brothers-in-law, Wayne Rickles, and Johnny Owens; and his sister-n-law, Deanna Nix.

He is survived by his sons, Blane Nix, Tony Nix, and Kevin Nix; stepdaughter, Stephany Truett; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

After serving in the US Air Force for 4 years, Andy received an honorary discharge, then spent 33 years working for Goodyear before retiring. He enjoyed golfing, watching the Atlanta Braves , Alabama Football and Nascar.

Pallbearers are Blane Nix, Tony Nix, Kevin Nix, Cody Nix, Dustin Nix, and Matthew Truett.

Honorary pallbearer is Kyle Roebling.

The family would like to extend special thanks to his long time doctor, Kenny Smith, all of the employees at Amedisys Hospice, Absolute Respiratory and Cornerstone Pharmacy, who all treated him and his family with utmost care and respect.

Morgan Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
