

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 23, 2025, with the service to follow. Service will be officiated by Pastor Andy Brown. Burial will be at Forrest Cemetery.
Anita was born on October 14,1950, in Gadsden, Alabama. She was a loving devoted wife, Mother, and Granny. She was known for her big, beautiful smile, loving and positive spirit that she kept all the way until the end. Anita loved to sing, laugh, and spend time with her family. She loved the Lord and was a devout Christian woman.
Anita followed her calling as a nurse and took care of and comforted many throughout her long career in nursing.
Anita is survived by her hero, best friend, and husband Michael R. Perry of 51 years; their three daughters, Atina (Shane) Maxwell, Whitney Blake, Amber (Chris) Patterson; chosen son Shane (Jen Smith) Adams; grandchildren, Shaye (Jessica) Taylor, Alexis (Wesley) Gilchrist, Kelsey (Derrick) Bowling, Kyle Patterson; great grandchildren, Cheyene Cannon, Hoyt Taylor, Amelia Taylor, Ellie Gilchrist, Isabella Gilchrist; sister- in –laws, Patricia Lambert, Joyce Perry, and Pamela Curl.
Anita was met on the streets of gold by her parents, Ulmo “Honey” and Mildred “By-Yo” Lambert; Parents- in- law, Ray “Buddy” and Frances Perry; brothers, Jerry Douglas, ‘Dusty” Lambert; brothers- in- law, Keith Perry, Ronnie Curl; sister– in- law, Frances Douglas.
Pallbearers will be Chris Patterson, Kyle Patterson, Shaye Taylor, Shane Maxwell, Derrick Bowling, and Wesley Gilchrist.
Honorary pallbearer Shane Adams.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date by Cross Camp Cowboy Church, where she was a member.
