Annie Marie Ray

Annie Marie Ray, 93 of Altoona was born September 30, 1928 and passed away August 27, 2022. Funeral Service will be at 2p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Wise officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1 until 2p.m. Burial will be at Altoona Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Marie was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She loved flowers and working in her flowerbeds. She was an Auburn Fan and Tennessee Lady Vol Fan. Marie loved her family and God.

She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Faye Hopper; son, Ronnie J. Butts; brothers, James Hopper, Marvin Hopper and Thomas Hopper.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Wayne Ray; sons, Charles (Jennifer) Butts, Rickey (Becky) Butts, Jimmy (Brenda) Butts, Donnie (Shelia) Butts, David (Debra) Butts, Don (Kim) Ray; daughters, Peggy Ray and Drue Robertson; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Butts, Joshua Butts, Jimbo Butts, Chad Butts, Shannon Butts, and Jason Hill.

Honorary Pallbearers will be John Butts, Jeff Butts, Jason Self, Chris Ray, Nick Butts, Kevin Dodd, Michael and Bobby Robertson, and Jeremy and Jonathan Nance.
