Bobbie Diehl

February 20, 1939 – August 6, 2026

Bobbie Gay Diehl, best known as B.G., age 87, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026, at her home in Seminole, Florida.

B.G. was born in Walnut Grove, Alabama, in 1939 and moved to the Pinellas County, Florida, area in 1966. She was known for her determination, strength, and willingness to work hard to succeed. She was never afraid to pursue her dreams or take on a challenge.

B.G. found herself raising three young children on her own while working at Honeywell Electronics. Alongside her full-time job, she worked in the field of real estate as a broker, investor, and developer from 1976 to 2015. Her dedication and business sense brought her great success, and she became a member of the Seminole Chamber of Commerce. In 2003, she was honored as Business Woman of the Year.

But B.G.’s success was not measured only by her accomplishments in business. She was also a devoted mother and a good provider who understood the importance of giving her children a good education and teaching them to work together as a team.

She always made time for the people she loved. There were movie nights, beach outings, picnics, and family trips, including a particularly memorable trip to Monterrey, Mexico.

In 1978, B.G. met the love of her life, Roy Diehl. They married in 1986 at their farm in Tennessee, where they continued their adventurous life together. They raised cattle on their Tennessee farm while also maintaining their life in Florida.

B.G. was a woman who was always on the move, traveling back and forth between Tennessee and Florida. In Florida, she owned and operated an assisted living center in Largo, adding yet another chapter to her remarkable working life. She had a natural ability to take on responsibility, care for others, and make things happen.

B.G.’s love of travel took her throughout the Canadian Rockies, the Maritimes, Alaska, Colorado, and the American West. She also enjoyed river and ocean cruises, as well as international travel.

She found great joy in gardening, flowers, knitting, and painting. She was a member of the Garden Club of Seminole, where she shared her love of gardening and flowers with others.

B.G. was especially well known for her love of dogs. She was often seen with one of her beloved companions, including Chiquita, PandaSue, Bubba, Buddy, and Nemo. Her dogs were a special part of her life and brought her tremendous happiness.

B.G. opened her home and her heart to the people she loved. Her family and friends will always cherish the memories they made with her and the many ways she touched their lives. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

B.G. was preceded in death by her father, Edward Langford; her mother, Flora Langford; her sister, Billie Langford; her daughters, Nanetta Skinner and Sherrie Grace; her grandson, Joshua Langford; her great-grandson, Ethan Langford; her niece, Ginger; and her nephew, T.J.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Roy Diehl; her son, Jack Langford; her sisters, Nancy and Lee; her grandchildren, J.P. (Christina), Dillon (Chavas), Jesse, Genevieve, Megan, Kaleigh, and Andrew (Alexis); her nephews, Rusty, Todd, Eddie, and Robbie; her niece, Debbie; and their families.

Funeral services for B.G. will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Mohn Funeral Home, 9700 Seminole Blvd., Seminole, Florida 33772. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 7:00 p.m.

B.G. will be laid to rest at Howelton Cemetery in Attalla, Alabama. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Old Howelton Cemetery is located at Highway 278 and Howelton Cemetery Road, across from Mt. Top Flea Market.
