Bobby Thomas Harris

A Memorial visitation for Mr. Harris will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel, Attalla, AL on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm in the Chapel.

Bobby was born in Gadsden , AL and was a lifelong resident of Attalla. He graduated from Etowah High School with the class of 1967. After high school, Bobby joined the United States Army and proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed camping, gardening, bird watching, watching Alabama football and the Atlanta Braves baseball.

Preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Imogene Harris; granddaughters, Tenli and Kodi Hayes; and son-in-law, Mitch Hayes.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 49 years, Vickie Harris; daughters, Amy (Brian) Young, and Amanda Harris; grandchildren, Hayden (Austin) Correll, Caleb Smith, Kelsey (Xavier) Caldwell, Natalie Young, Addie Young, Nicholas (Shea) Young; great grandchildren, Andre Caldwell, Tenli Horton, Satori Horton, Xayla Caldwell and Harper Young; sisters, Betty (Larry) Battles, and Joyce (Louie)McGee; a host of nieces and nephews; and special beloved pet, Ellie Mae.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Marshall Cancer Care, Dr. Jonathan Storey, Amanda Young, Craig Young, Southern Medical, Dr. Christopher Bailey, Aveanna Hospice, hospice nurses: Ashley Chambers and Savannah Cole, and Chaplain Michael Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family will accept green plants.
