Buford Howell Pruitt

Visitation will be on Thursday August 21, 2025 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Morgan Funeral Chapel. A chapel service will follow visitation at 12:00pm. Interment will be at New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Billy Tidwell to officiate.

Buford enjoyed spending time outdoors on his land, always piddling with his tractors and backhoe. It was where he felt happiest and most at home. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Pruitt; sons, Barry Pruitt and Tony Pruitt; parents, Pink and Lola Pruitt; sisters, Myrtle Blevins, Gladys Stewart, Edna Parr, Sue Tidwell; brothers, Frank Pruitt and Louis Pruitt.

Buford is survived by his daughter, Kristi (Chris) White; grandson, Adam Pruitt; daughter-in-law, Ann Pruitt; sister, Evelyn Foreman; brother, Douglas Pruitt and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Adam Pruitt, Chris White, family and friends.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Silver Lakes Memory Care, doctors, nurses and staff at Gadsden Regional Medical Center and Shepherd's Cove Hospice.

Morgan Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
