Catherine Talley

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at Forrest Cemetery Chapel, with service immediately following.

Catherine was preceded in death by her beloved family members, father, Marshall Lane Walker; mother, Valli Self Walker; siblings, Russell Walker, Louise Walker, Margaret (Wink) Yother, Harold (Madelyn, Les) Walker, Maxine (Kenneth) Littlejohn, Marshall Lane (M.L.) Walker Jr., Sue (Kenneth) Cain and Linda Brown.

Catherine graduated from Etowah High School in 1948. She was a lifelong member of Attalla First United Methodist Church.

Her church family was very dear to her heart. She sang in the choir for 52 years and served in various positions throughout her life.

Catherine married the love of her life, Foster, on July 3, 1948. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends.

She was a wonderful cook and loved serving others.

Catherine leaves behind her loving husband of 69 years, Foster; son, Lane (Denise) Talley; grandchildren, Christopher Talley, Elizabeth (Scott) Cooper, Sara (Ethan) Tucker; great-grandchildren, Barrett Tucker, Brooklyn Cooper, and Evie Tucker; sister-in-law, Joyce Talley; brother-in-law, Ormond Brown; a host of nieces, nephews and special friends, Jean Williams, Howard (Deloris) Malone, John (Jackie) Roberson and Jim (Frances) Graham.
