Charles E. Copeland

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Samuels Chapel United Methodist Church.

There will be a lie in state at the church on Friday from 12 Noon until 1 P.M.

Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Charles was a longtime member of Samuels Chapel UMC where he was an active member.

Charles loved traveling with his wife, Kendall. He also loved going to watch West End Football on Friday nights and attending his mens breakfast at Cracker Barrel with his friends and classmates, going to his Local Sheet Metal Worker Union meetings. Almost daily he walked the trails at the falls and at the bird sanctuary behind the mall. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. O.S. Copeland, Jr.

He leaves behind; His wife, Kendall T. Copeland; son, Pace Armstrong (Wife, Shannon); Daughters, Jennie Head, Tonie Gilmer (Husband, Butch), and Christi Copeland; sisters, Vicky Scott (Husband, Keith), Phyllis Rhoden (Husband, Jimmy) and Melanie Grant (Husband, Robin); Grandchildren, Drake Ash, Jailyn Crocton, Sage Battles (Wife, Simone), Reid Haygood, and Chandler Armstrong; Great Grandchildren, Jemma and Gray Battles, Dallas Ash; Along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
