Claudia "Nanny" Talton Rowland

Funeral Services for Mrs. Rowland will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, August 31,2024. The family will arrive at 4:00 pm for visitation, and public visitation will begin at 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation on Sunday, September 1, 2024 will be from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Attalla. Bro. Gregg Jacobs to officiate.

Claudia was born on August 27, 1941 in Attalla, AL. She was the 8th child of E.D. (Red) and Nina Talton. She was a loving wife, mom, sister, aunt, friend and especially a Nanny to everyone. She loved to have all the little ones running around, as she kept half the generations in our family, and she wasn't afraid to grab her switches if needed. Later, Nanny decided that it was time for some adventures with her husband, so she became his co-rider, traveling to many different places is his old 18 wheeler semi. She so enjoyed their time together, but gave it up so that she could go back to loving on her grandkids, cooking her delicious biscuits for them and being their personal taxi. For the past month, Nanny kept asking us, "How many more days until my birthday?" We would reply with, "Are we going to have a Big Party this year?" Nanny spent the majority of her birthday celebrating with her family here on earth, then the Lord decided it was time to call her home where she is now rejoicing with her heavenly Father and loved ones who have gone before her. Even though our hearts are hurting and we will miss her terribly, we are doing our best to picture the happiness she is having in her heavenly home. Best Birthday Ever!!

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Rowland; son, Donald (Rocky) Clark; parents, E.D. (Red) and Nina Fitts Talton.

Claudia is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Greg) Patterson, granddaughter, Kasie (Scotty) Hill; grandson, Colton Patterson; great-grandchildren, Levi Hill and Mallie Hill; brothers, Earl (Margie) Talton, and M.C. Talton; chosen daughters, Tina (Mike) Erwin, Shena (Huey) Elkins, Tammy Hophan, and Missy Reid; chosen grandchildren, Elizabeth, Austin, Natasha, Jordan, Lauren, Ryan, Josh, Ariel, Hannah, Canaan, Landon, Micheal, Megan, and Brandi; and many nieces, nephews and chosen great grands.

Pallbearers are Roger Talton, Quency Patterson, Tony Patterson, Colton Patterson, Scotty Hill, and Kenneth Lacount.

Honorary pallbearers are Levi Hill, Austin Clark, Jacob Smith, David Talton, Brad Mason and Willis Buttrey.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ashley, Misty, Raven, Matt, Sharon, Slayde of ACG Hospice Team and special caregivers, Ernest Wallace and Cindy McDaniel.
