Daltyn Wood

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on June 13, 2026, at Morgan Funeral Chapel from 11:30 to 3:00 pm for Daltyn Michael Wood of Gadsden, AL. Friends and family are welcome.

Daltyn Michael Wood, born February 13, 1998, passed peacefully on May 21, 2026. He is survived by his mother, Tanya Goodwin; father, Jeffery Wood; Brother, Austin Wood; niece, Rylynn Wood.

In Daltyn’s sickness and even in his health, he was a man that would light up a room with just the warmth of his smile, instantly putting you at ease.

His infectious humor and quick wit would have you guessing for a minute, then breathless from laughter. His glowing personality instantly made you want to be around him, and in his humbleness, he didn't even realize he had that effect.

He fought every battle he faced with incredible strength, courage, humility, and hope. Giving up wasn't a choice; he even entertained.

His humble determination to succeed as an engineer was met with a full scholarship to Auburn University, then getting his dream job at Northrop Grumman where he excelled.

His bravery, to be able to load up in his car and head out to New York, Colorado and Florida, pushing through the fear of the unknown. Daltyn was greatly admired by his family and friends. He took chances and lived life.

Daltyn was a great example to all who knew him, of how to strive to be better, treat everyone with kindness, respect, and to live fearlessly.

He was a true warrior of strength, courage, selflessness, fearlessness, hope, and the light of God. He will forever be missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family will accept live plants, flowers, or donations to the Cancer Research at Cancer Research Institute; or any one of your choosing. Thank you.
