Funeral will be at 2:00 pm at Pine Forest Baptist Church for Dennis Lee Thompson, age 67 of Ashville, Alabama who died February 26, 2017. Burial at Pine Forest Baptist Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel in Charge.

Preceded in death by his father Lee Allen Thompson and brother Timmy Thompson.

Dennis was a life long resident of Ashville, He was retired from St. Clair County Board of Education (Transportation Department) and the U. S. Army National Guard. Dennis loved good times with his family and friends and Alabama football.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joy Thompson and his mother Mildred Thompson of Ashville. One daughter, Brandi Thompson-Dillard (Webb) and one granddaughter, Emille (Emmy) Dillard of Marathon, FL. Two sisters, Helen Sweatt (Joe) and Karen Thompson of Ashville. Sister in law Judith Thompson, London, KY. 7 nieces and 11 nephews, 5 special grandchildren and a loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Scott Sweatt, Jason Smith, Jonathan Smith, Jarred Smith, Ray Stevens, Philip Mulkey, Charlie Thomas, David Thompson and Fred Blount.

Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. at Pine Forest Baptist Church with memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017. Burial in Pine Forest Cemetery.
