Donnie Wayne Minton

He is survived by his wife Candi; his son, Donnie (Karen); his son, Josh (Kristy); his daughter, Michelle (Micah); his son, Chad; his daughter, Anna (Jason). His grandchildren, Damico, Gary, Levi, Lucas, Jylani, Kaleyah, Joshalyn, Sonjae, Zane, London, Keegan, Jaydon. Great grandchildren, Nuh’Lani, Tae’lynn, & Zayden. Brothers; Danny, Derriel (Linda), Johnny, Clifford. Sisters; Becky, Lisa, Vickie (Eddie), Sue. And a host of wonderful in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and family abroad.

He was predeceased by his father Olden Hardin Minton; mother’s Roella Chapman & Mae Minton;

In laws; William & Helen Copeland.

Dad a beloved son, brother, husband, father and friend. He will be missed here on earth by so many, but we know that he is no longer suffering. His spirit lives on as the whole version of the small ray of light that we witnessed. Dad worked hard providing for his family. His optimism branded on his shoulder in the words “Let’s Try”. That was a motto that he believed and demonstrated throughout the years that he spent on this earth. He was the best father, and friend.

He will be deeply missed by all.

A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5 until 7pm. Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla, AL. Officiating the ceremony will be the honorable: Billy Boatwright of Gospel Temple Church.

Military Honors will be at 11am Friday, February 23, 2024 at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
