Dustin Fitts

Funeral Services for Mr. Dustin Fitts, age 40 of Attalla, will be held on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Robert Glover officiating. Burial will follow at Nobel Hill Cemetery.

Fitts passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his dad (best friend), Bill Fitts, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his kids, Taylor Sewell, Hunter Fitts and Hudson Fitts, his mother, Mary Fitts, his sisters, Tonya (Sid) Foster, Cindy West and Tracy Hemby, his aunts, Gladys (Robert) Glover, Linda (Robert) Evans, his uncle, Speedy Fitts, along with many nieces and nephews, Zachary, Logan, Ashley, Dylan and numerous cousins.

Pallbearers will be Vance Lewis, Rodney Philips, Brett McBurnett, Jay Jay Fitts, Spanky Long and Jacob Hamilton.

In the Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to: St.Judes or CHF Fund & Research.

The family would love to give a thank you to the following: Prohealth Hospice Nurse’s, Kelly, Cheyenne and Chaplin Ken Roberts.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Morgan Funeral Chapel from 11:30 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.

"I wanna give a huge thank you to my Mama and Thank you for not giving up on me. I fought Long and hard for 4 Years and didn’t give up, But god said that was long enough. I also want to thank my sister, Tonya Foster, We might not have seen eye to eye but i always knew you were there for me from Day 1 to my last breath.Also Thank you to my #1 Cousin and a pain in my butt Amy Duke! Thank you for Trying to keep me straight and being there for me regardless of the day or time, Also to my baby momma (LOL) Julia Lawhorn, Thank you for being an amazing mother to our boys and being there for me. Thank you to all my friends and family, This is not goodbye. It’s See you later. I love everyone and I will see you all on the other side. Love Fitts"

This is a note from his daughter Taylor Sewell:

"Thank you dad for being there for me when i was going through the roughest time in my life, you always knew how to put a smile on not just mine but everyone’s faces. We are all gonna miss you deddy, but I am gonna make you, mama and pawpaw proud, I promise! Until I see you again."
