

Funeral Service will be held at 3p.m. on Wednesday November 15, 2017 at Morgan Funeral Chapel.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 2 to 3 P.M. on Wednesday prior to the service in the chapel.
Rev J.R. Finny will officiate the service.
Interment will be held at Village Falls Cemetery.

Ed was born in Jefferson County (Birmingham). He was reared by his mother, Anna Mae Potter. He later moved to Pine Hill, New Jersey where he attended Overbrook High School. He then enlisted in the United States Navy and served in the Seabees. Mr. Gowers was in Vietnam and served for three tours. After discharge, he moved to Utah, where he lived for a number of years.
Eddie was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Mae Potter Buzcynck; father, Leonard Gowers; and his sister, Carol Buzcynck.
He is survived by his loving partner of 25 years, Jack Macon. Step-mother, Christina Thornton; three sisters, Brenda Gowers Hall, Janet Scirotto and Katheren Brucks of GA; four brothers, Tommy Gowers, Terry Gowers, Ronnie Gowers, and Dusty Gowers. Along with many nieces and nephews, and a host of loving pets including Pride, Jasper, Bubba, Hank and Baby.
Special thanks are extended to; Georgia Steepleton, Tra and Ashlyn Richardson, Niece and nephew- Rebecca & Keith Bidwell, and special friends Robert Inman & Jim White.
