Elton Hugh Martin & Betty Jean Martin

Elton is survived by his brothers: Bobby and Brett (Sheree). Betty is survived by her brother: Danny Lynn Huff, Sr. Elton and Betty are survived by their children: Josey (Bianca Houston) and Justin (Lisa); grandchildren: Ezekiel, Deacon, Christian, Ethen, Amilya, Levi, and Baby Boy due March 26.

Elton is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Merle Martin; sister, Yvonne Martin Elliott; and sister in law, Mae Martin. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Berry and Mittie Huff; brother, Billy Huff; and brother Bobby Huff.

Elton and Betty were married 46 years and their love for each other was evident to all who knew them. They found the most fulfillment being together: camping, riding 4wheelers or dirtbikes, riding their motorcycle, and sitting around a campfire. Elton had a passion for photography and music and a keen mechanical ability that he enjoyed sharing with his children. Betty’s impact will live on through her faithful service to the VBS and children’s ministry at Gallant First Baptist Church and through her warm and welcoming personality.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Huff, Lynn Huff, Greg Bowyer, Ray Moore, Nathan Moore, and Danny Fowler.

Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Morgan Funeral Chapel (625 Gilbert Ferry Rd SE, Attalla, AL 35954), with the service to immediately follow at 3:00 p.m.
