Emersyn Rayne Gowens gained her forever angel wings and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the age of 2. She was born on May 26, 2015 and touched many lives during her short time with us.
Emersyn was a beautiful, sweet, loving, and energetic 2 year old who was adored by her family and friends. She had a very special bond with her older brother Ace.
Her uncle Nick Nick, Uncle T, and her Ev loved to spend time and play with her. Emersyn loved to dance, color, and ride in her cozy coupe. She was so excited to dress up like a princess as the 2017 Miss Baby Blue Devil. Her enduring little smile and sweet demeanor will be forever cherished in our memories.
She is survived by her parents, Dalton and Haley Gowens; older brother, Carter Ace; great grandparents, Vida Rogers, Judy and Larry Mabrey, Glenda Bishop, and Harold Crosson; grandparents, Pappaw and Nanny Greg and Angie Gowens, Mimi Kimberly Bishop Staton, Boppa Michael Bishop; uncles, Tyler (Karla) Gowens, Nick Bishop, Mark (Michelle) Griffin; cousins, Everett Gowens, Terry and Chole Bishop, Clay, Jillian, Grayson, and Evelyn Neal, Angie and Ian Pask, Katie Bishop, Benjamin Parr, Matthew and Lora Bishop; great aunts and uncles, Paula Bell, Diane and Barry Dykes, Tracy and Debbie Bishop, Cheryl and Bruce Parr, Greg and Lisa Bishop, Chris and Kim Bishop, Melissa (Sister) and Charley Rowan; Godmother, Kinsley (Semaj) Gibbs; and Godfather, Zach Gamblin.
She was preceded in death by her great grandfathers, Bobby O. Rogers and James H. Bishop; great grandmother, Hilda Crosson; great uncle, Dewayne (Bubba) Rogers.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Bishop, Greg Gowens, Zach Gamblin, and Jason Rice.
Pallbearers will be Nick Bishop, Tyler Gowens, Mark Griffin, Brant Schomburg.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 1 p.m. Friday December 1, 2017 at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 1 P.M. with Rev. Larry Garrard officiating. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery.
