Ethel Mae Vaughn

She was married to her late husband Ralph Vaughn for 58 years. Together they enjoyed traveling, working town festivals with their concession trailer and being with family. She was a great cook and loved cooking for and being surrounded by her family. She started her day in the Bible and covered her family in prayer. She was a member of Legacy Church Assembly of God. She taught Sunday School and Missionettes children’s programs for thirty years and later served in the nursery. She was a ruthless domino player and loved playing with her senior center friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Vaughn; mother Myrtle Mosteller; son Ralph Vaughn Jr.; and brothers Tracy and Harry Mosteller.

She is survived by her daughter Beverly (Greg) Stephens; son Lonny (Buffy) Vaughn; daughter in law Ann Vaughn; grandchildren Chrystal (Michael) Shepherd, Jessica White, Deiwon Stephens, Evie Stephens, Miranda (Jeremey) Miller, Meghan Stephens, Elizabeth (Joey) Linehan, Aimee (Bryan McCarthy) Vaughn, Suzanne Vaughn, Dalton (Caitlyn Shoemaker) Vaughn, Shelby (Logan) Owens; brother and sister in law John and Peggy Vaughn; long time family friend Mary Parker; chosen grandchildren Amy Adcock and Daniel Littleton; 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Pastor Keith Frix and Pastor Chad Owens officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday March 13, 2026, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel and burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Pall Bearers will be Greg Stephens, Michael Shepherd, Dalton Vaughn, Logan Owens, Corbin White, Keithan Gramling.

Honorary Pall Bearers will be Deiwon Stephens, currently serving in the Army.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Legacy Church Children's Ministry, 1439 W. Grand Ave, Gadsden, AL 35904.
