Eva Jane May Harris

Funeral service will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Thursday, April 13 at 10:30 A.M.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Rev. Matt Weathington and Rev. Lauil Thompson will officiate the service.

Special music provided by Bill Drummons.

Interment will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Harris spent the majority of her career at the Walnut Park Elementary School lunch room and later moved to John Jones Elementary School from where she retired as the lunch room manager. Jane had a strong faith and conviction in her in the Lord and was a long time member of Walnut Park Baptist Church and most recently, Southside Baptist Church. She loved her Sunday school class and teachers, Margaret Collins and Faye Thornton. In her spare time, Jane loved spending time looking at family photos and scrapbooking. She also filled many days with quilting, traveling, cooking and baking, and out in her flower garden. She loved her family and cherished every opportunity to spend time with them. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl and Ray and spouses, Larry May and George Harris, Jr.

Along with much loved "family" members; chosen sister- Helen Salvador and forever daughter in law, Lisa Ledford.

Along with a host of nieces nephews neighbors cousins and friends.

The family extends special thanks to the entire staff of Southern Care Hospice especially nurses Cauleen Greene and Bianca Bothwell.

The following grandsons will serve as pallbearers; Eric May, Andrew May, Patrick May, Justin May, David Smith, Jr., Clay Rayburn, Colten McCoy, Hunter McCoy.
