Foster E. Talley 90, of Gadsden joined the love of his life Catherine Walker Talley in the presence of his Lord Sunday, May 6, 2018. Foster was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. The light of his life was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He graduated from Etowah High School in 1947. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Foster worked in Production Control at Goodyear until he retired in 1989. After retiring he ended his working days driving the train at Noccalula Falls where he enjoyed meeting new people. Foster was also an avid Auburn football fan.
Foster was preceded in death by his father, Howell Talley; mother, Mattie Ola Moore Talley; brothers, Arby (Nellie Jo) Talley, Cecil Talley, James (Bonnie) Talley; sister, Sybil (Lee)Talley Atkins.
He is survived by his son, Lane (Denise) Talley; grandchildren, Christopher Talley, Elizabeth (Scott) Cooper, and Sara (Ethan) Tucker; great grandchildren, Barrett Tucker, Brooklyn Cooper, and Evie Tucker; sister in law, Joyce Talley; brother in law, Ormond Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jim (Frances) Graham, John (Jackie) Roberson, and the First Methodist Attalla family.
Funeral Service will be held at the Chapel in Forrest Cemetery Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 2p.m. with Brother Mark Parrish officiating.
Family will accept friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. Morgan Funeral Chapel directing.
