Gary was born and lived his life in Etowah County AL. He was a simple man who loved his family. He enjoyed spending his time tinkering with old cars and going to car shows. He had a passion for volunteering as a first responder and loved spending time outdoors and with his loved ones.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Burien "Buck" Newsome and Lois "Sue" Newsome.
Gary is survived by his wife, Sharon Newsome; his children Jennifer Newsome and Blake (Jordan) Newsome and his siblings Pat, Pam and Tommy Newsome.Gary also leaves behind a host of loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation for Gary will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at Conn Cemetery in Gallant, AL.
Serving as pallbearers are Lucas Newsome, Paul Smith, Shane Turner, Ken Gray, Bobby Varnon and Jason Dodd. Honorary pallbearers will be Marcus Reed and Johnny Rains.
