A funeral service will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Wednesday August 23, 2017 at 11 A.M.

Rev. Sherri Reynolds and Rev. Kevin Asbury will officiate

The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. prior to the service in the chapel.

Cremation provided by Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory.

Gayla worked as an LPN for more than forty years, last working at Ashville Healthcare, Inc. and was a member of Christ Central Methodist Church in Rainbow City. Gayla was preceded in death by her father, William “Bill” Hitt.

She leaves behind;

Son, Michael Wright (Ruby)

Daughter, Carrie Hodges (Darrell)

Mother, Latene Hitt

Siblings, Bill (Leah) Hitt

Blair (Teresa) Hitt

Jeff (Carol) Hitt

Crystal (William) Bentley

Grandchildren, Todd, Brooklynn and Bradin

Great granddaughter, Mercedes

And a host of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Camp Sumatanga Scholarship Fund or to Christ Central Methodist Church at 409 West Grand Avenue Rainbow City AL 35906
