

Viewing and visitation will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon. Graveside service and burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Attalla.
The Rev. Larry Garrard will officiate. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directing.
Mrs. Overstreet was preceded in death by: her parents, Mr. E.A. Williams and Mrs. Ida Mae Williams; sisters, Jeanette Mims, Gladys Thrasher and infant brother, Elbert Williams - all of Talladega, Ala. She was also preceded in death by husbands, Lamar Overstreet and Marvin L. Jordan, both of Attalla.
Mrs. Overstreet is survived by her two sons, Charles L. Jordan of Gallant, Ala. and James H. Jordan of Attalla. She is also survived by her sister, Oneda Wyatt of Talladega. She was the proud grandmother of Chad Jordan (Amber) of Rome, Ga., Michelle Battles (Joe) of Southside, Ala., Chris Jordan (Stephanie) of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Jack Jordan of Denver, Co., and Leigh Davis (Peter) of Flintstone, Ga. She is also survived by six great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Overstreet was a member of Cherry Street Baptist Church. She was a born-again Christian and a child of God. She was a lifelong resident of Etowah County, and Attalla in particular. At the time of her death, she was a resident at Cherry Street Assisted Living in Attalla.
We would like to offer thanks and appreciation to the following: Doctors Shah and Sengar and all of their staff. The nurses, PCT's and caregivers on the fourth floor, the fifth floor, the third floor and ICU of Riverview Regional Medical Center who assisted Mrs. Overstreet in her final months of healthcare.
The pallbearers will be Joe Battles, Steve Hurst, Tommy Thrasher, C.D. Hawkins, Chad Jordan and Chris Jordan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
