Funeral Services for Mr. Hamlin B. Gray, age 89 of Southside who passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Ten Island Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Morgan Funeral Chapel is directing.
Mr. Gray was a hard working man. He worked for Reed's Lumber for many years. He enjoyed working outside; gardening, fishing, hunting and working on cars. He loved his family and especially loved hanging out with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Jake and Flora Gray; wife, Dorothy Louise Johnson Gray, son, Hamlin Gray, Jr. and daughters: Judy Smith and Phyllis Cleveland.
Survivors include his sons: Alphie Gray and Steve Gray; daughters: Doris (David) Hill, Kay (Jim) Matherly, Shirley (David) Gilliland and Rita Jenkins; 18 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
