

Funeral Services for Mr. Coleman will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel, Attalla, on Wednesday, October 23. The family will receive friends in the Chapel from 12:00pm until the time of the service at 1:00pm.
Interment will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Bro. Allen Swindall to officiate.
Harvey was a Vietnam War Veteran. He was drafted in the Army on August 27, 1968, where he served as an Infantry Sergeant E-5 until he was honorably discharged on August 1, 1974. Harvey was a devoted husband and father. He worked for several years at Pollock Motor Company as an auto technician, and worked for the City of Gadsden, where he retired. Harvey had a love for vintage cars and enjoyed showing them at local car shows. He had a love for German Shepherd dogs and loved to talk to people about canines in the military. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed watching college and NFL games.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Corbett Coleman and Ruby Stinson Coleman; brother, R.C. (Victoria) Coleman; sisters, Margaret Knoop, Marie Deerman and Robena Jester.
Harvey is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sue Coleman; and his daughter, Debra (Brett) Hill.
Pallbearers will be Barry Bell, Moe Colvin, Jerry Lahore, Jeff Overstreet, Bryan Sexton, and Michael Smedley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rainbow City Animal Shelter or your favorite charity.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. G. Patel, ICU and 3rd floor nurses at Riverview Regional Medical Center and Enhabit Hospice.
